EFCU Supports Local Sports with Free Credit Union Night

ELKO, NV: – On January 17, Elko Federal Credit Union (EFCU) hosted its third annual Credit Union Night at Spring Creek High School in support of local high school student athletic programs. For Credit Union Night, EFCU offered free admission to the basketball game to watch the Elko High School Indians take on the Spring Creek High School Spartans.

This year, EFCU was happy to present a check to Spring Creek High School for $8,147. This covered the admission fee for every person who attended the game that night, plus an additional contribution to both the Boys and Girls Basketball programs at Spring Creek High School.

“This event always highlights our community pride. ” said Todd Sorenson. “We just find it so rewarding to have the opportunity to show our support for our local schools and our communities in this way. For us, it’s not just about sports. It is about the tremendous values competitive sports help instill in our youth… values like determination, discipline and coachability, which are all so important for a lifetime of success. It is just one more way we can support success for our community.”
